1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your session and preferences across visits.

2. How Herehood uses cookies

We use cookies only for what is necessary to operate the platform:

• Authentication cookies — keep you signed in across pages. Set by Supabase. Expire when you sign out or after 7 days of inactivity.
• Session cookies — maintain your current session state (e.g. form progress). Expire when you close your browser.
• Preference cookies — remember UI preferences such as dismissed banners. Stored in localStorage, not sent to servers.

3. What we do not use

• Advertising or tracking cookies
• Third-party analytics cookies (we use anonymised, server-side analytics only)
• Social media tracking pixels
• Cross-site tracking of any kind

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. This collects aggregate usage data (pages visited, session duration) and does not identify individual users. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete cookies stored by a site
• Block all cookies (may break sign-in functionality)
• Block third-party cookies only (recommended, no impact on Herehood)
